Public Comment: Intend to Apply – CDBG-MIT Rebuild Florida

 

Notice is hereby given that the City of Lake City is offering citizens the opportunity to make comments on the proposed grant application for Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Rebuild Florida General Infrastructure Program (GIP) administered by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) with funding provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for disaster mitigation projects. The City will submit the following application:

Gwen Lake Drainage Improvements

The project consists of the designation of appropriate drainage routes based on provided drainage study, topographic survey, and lidar data for newly installed sediment basin to drain into utilizing underground pipes and/or drainage swales.  Installation of up to ten catch basins along drainage route to alleviate sediment deposits and allow for stormwater runoff. Evaluation and proposal of solutions to channelize and/or install drainage network for Southwest area of Gwen Lake that drains into Lake Harris.
